Mainland Europe

Also referred to as Continental Europe, or just the Continent, mainland Europe is mainly consists of the European Union, a bloc of 28 member states (3 of which, the UK, Ireland and Iceland are located off the mainland) who act in co-operation together for the free movement of peoples and goods.

The most commonly used currency is the Euro, used across most states of the European Union, whilst the largest country in mainland Europe is the European portion of Russia, which stretches across both Europe and Asia.
